Cruise Traveller’s new, five-star, ‘Antarctic Expedition Meets Luxury’package begins on December 17, 2023, with a private car transfer to the airport and a flight from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth to Santiago in Chile, followed by a night in a city hotel and an onward flight to Puerto Williams, the southern-most town in the world at the bottom of Chile. Here, guests will board Silver Cloud for an 18-night return journey to the Falkland Islands, the wild and rugged isles of South Georgia and the South Shetland Islands, iconic Cape Horn and Antarctica itself, with opportunities for guests to take guided expeditions to spot incredible wildlife such as giant, thrashing elephant seals, agile Weddell seals, colourful king and crested macaroni penguins, huge albatrosses and also whales.
Christmas Day will be spent off the snow-capped peaks of remote South Georgia, with traditional festivities onboard while a memorable New Year’s Eve will be enjoyed on the spectacular Antarctic Peninsula.
After the cruise, guests will fly back to Santiago for another night’s stay before the flight back to Australia.
