Small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller, has been appointed as the exclusive Australian distributor for Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, a boutique British line founded on the principle that smaller, traditional ships deliver better quality experiences for guests.

As the sole Australian distributor for Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Cruise Traveller has launched the first dedicated Australian website for the line – www.fredolsenbycruisetraveller.com.au – and will soon launch the line’s first-ever  Australian brochure, for voyages in 2023-24.

Cruise Traveller has also released a special, exclusive, 95-night package featuring a grand and rarely offered circumnavigation of Africa in late 2023 with smaller and more remote ports seldom visited by Australians.

Australians can save A$3460 per couple and receive a free pre-cruise stay in London, with a complimentary tour of the city or the surrounds, plus bonus onboard spending money if the package is booked by September 30, 2022.

While bigger and busier ships carrying more people are the focus for much of the cruise industry, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is founded on the philosophy that smaller is better, with its four, class-styled cruise liners accommodating just 900-1360 guests and celebrating traditional seafaring heritage.

“We’re very excited to work alongside Fred Olsen Cruise Lines as our latest partner in our growing fleet of small ship cruise brands that we promote in Australia,” Mr Bowen said. “Fred Olsen’s ships are uncrowded and offer a classic, elegant and personal style of cruising featuring more interesting and off-the-beaten-tourist-trail ports and that’s a distinctive experience more Australians are now seeking.”

Craig Bowen, Managing Director, Cruise Traveller

Cruise Traveller’s exclusive, new 95-night ‘Grand Africa and Indian Ocean’ stay and cruise package starts in London on November 17, 2023, with two free nights in deluxe hotel and a complimentary choice of a day tour.  There’s also a free transfer to Southampton to board Fred Olsen Cruise Lines’ stylish, 1338-guest flagship, Bolette, for an epic and exotic 93-night voyage completely circling Africa, exploring remote destinations in the Indian and Atlantic oceans and visiting a collection of some of the world’s most idyllic tropical islands.

Bolette by Fred.Olsen Cruises

From England, Bolette’s three-month-plus cruise will take intrepid sea lovers to 43 ports in 24 countries including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, India, Maldives, Seychelles, Kenya, Madagascar, Reunion Island, Mayotte, Mozambique and South Africa, with plenty of opportunities to see Africa’s famous wildlife. Bolette will then trace a route along Africa’s rare-in-itineraries west coast, with visits to Namibia, Sao Tome and Principe, Benin, Ghana, Senegal, Canary Islands and then Portugal before the cruise ends back in the UK on February 20, 2024. During the voyage, Christmas Day will be spent at sea in the Indian Ocean with traditional festivities and a New Year’s Eve party will celebrate the start of 2024 off the shores of Tanzania.

Including two complimentary nights with a tour in London, an onboard drinks package and onboard spending money of between 200 and 500 UK pounds, depending on cabin category, the 95-night ‘Grand Africa and Indian Ocean’ package is available from A$24,645 per person, twin-share, in an Inside Cabin – a saving of A$1730 per person.  An upgrade to an Oceanview Cabin is A$4000 more, or just A$43 a day.

The savings and bonuses are valid for bookings made with Cruise Traveller by September 30, 2022. Flights from Australia are extra.
