Balmoral by Fred. Olsen Cruises

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ smaller and more intimate ships showcase traditional seafaring heritage and the calming pleasures of classic cruising.

Encompassing the whole of the Mediterranean from Spain in the west to Cyprus and Egypt in the east and timed perfectly for autumn to avoid peak crowds, the epic voyage starts in the UK on September 30, 2026, when guests board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ stylish, 1325-guest ship, Balmoral, in Southampton for a 71-night, round-trip cruise through the Med.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Able to access smaller ports bigger ships cannot reach, the charming and spacious Balmoral, with its panoramic restaurants and lounges, sleek, open promenades and two pools, will take guests to iconic ports like Istanbul, Athens, Dubrovnik, Lisbon and Valletta as well as hidden gems like as the Turkish beach town of Marmaris, the beautiful Greek township of Kavala and the cosmopolitan Greek islands of Syros, Lesbos and Samos.

Also on the itinerary are the sunny Spanish, Italian and Croatian rivieras, the old towns of Cyprus, Alexandria in Egypt for trips to the pyramids, the bustling markets of Morocco, the lush, volcanic islands of the Canaries and the famous port wine of Porto in Lisbon. Overnight stays in eight ports allow for deeper discovery while Balmoral will also take guests on scenic cruises through Montenegro’s spectacular Bay of Kotor, along the romantic Amalfi Coast, around the active, island volcano of Stromboli in Italy, and past the ancient ruins of the Temple of Poseidon, south of Athens, and the massive cliff-top monasteries of Mt Athos in Greece.

Amalfi, Italy

From the harmonies of Croatian klapa music to the rich flavours of Greek cuisine, the journey offers an immersive taste of Mediterranean life and ends back in Southampton on December 10, 2026.

Until June 30, 2025, the 71-night Mediterranean voyage aboard Balmoral is available from a special price of GBP 7999 British Pounds per person, twin-share, in an Inside Cabin.  Early bookings for the popular sailing are recommended. Flight from Australia are additional.
