Around the world in 99 days – world cruise announced for 2027 with Fred. Olsen Cruises

A round-the-world voyage is a bucket list experience for many seasoned cruise travellers and now there’s new globe-circling journey to take – a true and traditional planet circumnavigation on a classic British liner over 99 days in 2027.
The newly released world voyage is available through Australian small ship cruising specialist, Cruise Traveller, in partnership with UK-based Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, which boasts a fleet of smaller, more intimate ships which showcase traditional seafaring heritage and the calming pleasures of classic cruising. Cruise Traveller is the exclusive Australian representative for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

Timed for fewer crowds and seasonal variety, the globe-circling journey begins on January 21, 2027, in Southampton, England when guests board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ stylish 1360-guest ship, Borealis, for an epic 98-night voyage of discovery right around the Earth and back to Southampton. The spacious Borealis boasts eight bars and lounges, six restaurants, two pools, two jacuzzis, a fitness centre and a traditional teak promenade deck from which to watch the world sail by.

Able to access smaller and more remote ports bigger ships cannot reach, Borealis will take world cruisers to 27 destinations around the world from the charms of Portugal and the tropical havens of the Caribbean to exotic ports in Central America and the amazing Panama Canal. The ancient enchantments of Japan and the tropical beauty of Hawaii are explored in-depth with multiple visits to those destinations plus there’s the excitement of Hong Kong, the spectacular wildlife of South Africa, the lush landscapes of the Canary Islands and a visit to one of the world’s most remote islands, St Helena, in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean.

There are also many leisurely days at sea so cruise lovers can relax and enjoy the ever-changing ocean vistas. The holiday ends when Borealis returns to Southampton on April 29, 2027.
Including onboard beverages with lunch and dinner, the 98-night world cruise is available from GBP 15,879 British Pounds per person, twin-share, in an Ocean View Cabin. Flights to and from the UK are additional and can be booked through Cruise Traveller.
