Australia’s leading small ship cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller, has released the special 23-night stay and cruise package in partnership with German cruise line, nicko cruises, which it exclusively represents here.

nicko cruises operates 26 river and coastal ships, mostly in Europe, along with two ocean ships, the 200-guest World Voyager and the 1000-guest Vasco da Gama.

Our exclusive, 23-night package features a voyage from Manila to Sydney in 2024 aboard Vasco de Gama on what will be the ship’s first visit to Australia for nicko cruises. The ship’s latest name honours 15th century Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama, who was the first European to reach India by sea.

The package begins on January 5, 2024, with a complimentary night’s stay in a five-star Manila hotel, with complimentary breakfast and local transfers. Next day, guests will board Vasco da Gama for a 22-night voyage to Sydney. The spacious and elegant, nine-deck ship boasts sleek teak decks, five deluxe bars and lounges, five restaurants, spa centre with sauna, steam bath and gym, two pools, three jacuzzis and a two-storey show theatre.

The ship will visit 12 destinations in The Philippines, Indonesia and Australia, including the tropical island havens of Coron, Bohol and Puerto Princesa with their aquamarine waters and white beaches. Following an overnight visit to Bali, the ship will head to Komodo Island, famous for its giant, wild monitor lizards stretching up to three metres long, and also the village of Kupang in West Timor. Vasco da Gama will then head south to Darwin, Cooktown, Cairns, Townsville and also Brisbane on Australia Day, 2024, before entering Sydney Harbour at the end of the journey.

Including an onboard Classic Beverages package, fares for the 23-night package are available from A$7585 per person, twin-share, with a free night in Manila available for bookings made by October 31, 2022.  Flights from Australia are extra.
