The ms Lord Byron

What did you think of…. The ms Lord Byron

In this series for Facebook, we ask members of our team to give us their opinion of a cruise, on which, they have recently participated. We here at Cruise Traveller, spend tens of thousands of dollars each year in sending our team members away on our preferred products, so they will have first hand knowledge to help you choose the perfect cruise experience…

Here are three quick questions we posed to Karen Revell, our Key Partnership Manager, after she returned from a river cruise onboard the ms Lord Byron in France, Germany & Belgium.

Question 1: You recently cruised with Lord Byron by Riviera Travel River Cruises while she was in France. What stood out the most about your experience?

Answer: Quite a few things stood out. Firstly the destination was just so beautiful. Going through the locks was extremely memorable. Being able to berth right in the township and walk to wherever you wanted was fantastic!

Question 2: Riviera are known for their well planned itineraries. Can you give us an example of an instance where you particularly enjoyed an excursion?

Answer: All of the shore excursions were really well planned. They included a lovely balance of guided walking tours but also with free time to be able to explore what I wanted to see. Some wanted to see the art gallery, some wanted to see the museum, some wanted to sit and drink coffee and people watch – the balance of included tours and free time was perfect! Also one particular day that really stood out was when I joined the “slow” walking tour group – this turned out to be the BEST because the pace was a lot slower which gave me time to take in the ambience and atmosphere PLUS be able to take some amazing photos.

Question 3: Would you travel again on Riviera and, if you could take anyone with you (Celebrity or other), who would that be?

Answer: Absolutely! I would go on them again in a heartbeat! If my husband couldn’t come with me, and Raffaello Balzo was unavailable then I would take my gorgeous cousin Diana ?
