Mekong River 2026 – Mekong Princess Cruise & Stay

Plus! ‘Own’ the ship – charter and group options available
The exclusive Australian agent for Mekong Princess Cruises, Cruise Traveller, has released the line’s 2026 program of cruise tour packages on the Mekong River, with exclusive savings available for couples and solo travellers.
Cruise Traveller, which specialises in small ships, has launched in the Australian market 18 sailings throughout 2026 aboard the elegant riverboat, Mekong Princess – eight downstream in 12-night packages from Cambodia to Vietnam, and 10 upstream in 13-night packages from Vietnam to Cambodia, with excursions and dinner beverages included in all sailings.
Savings of A$1200 per couple and A$935 for solo travellers are available until sold out, with advance bookings as soon as possible for 2026 sailings recommended.

Cruise Traveller’s unique 12-night ‘Mekong Majesty’ cruise tour packages for 2026 all feature a week-long journey aboard the deluxe and spacious, all-suite river ship, Mekong Princess, which boasts a high one-to-one crew to guest ratio, with 28 crew pampering just 28 guests.
With staff focusing on servicing and anticipating guests’ needs, most guests find the only time they need to raise their hand is to wave back to local children greeting the ship from the riverbank.
And because the deluxe Mekong Princess accommodates just 28 guests, the ship is also available and ideal for whole ship charters where a family group or social club can feel like they own the ship to celebrate birthdays, weddings or other special occasions, creating a unique and memorable experience.

Designed to reflect the French colonial era in the region, the elegant, 63m-long, queue-free Mekong Princess offers French balconies in all staterooms, a fine dining restaurant, lounge, deluxe chaise day beds for sunset cocktails on the alfresco sun deck, gym and spa centre.

Mekong Princess offers eight-day, one-way voyages between Siem Reap in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The ship is one of the most elegant on the Mekong and also one of the only vessels to start or end Mekong River cruises in central Ho Chi Minh City, allowing guests to step off and start exploring Vietnam’s largest city with its bustling street vibe and soaring skyscrapers towering over traditional markets and charming French colonial buildings.

Cruise Traveller’s 12-night downstream package from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City begins with three night’s accommodation in Siem Reap, Cambodia, a cultural show and a three-day pass and sunrise tuktuk tour to the nearby Angkor Wat temple. The sprawling Angkor Wat ‘temple mountain’ was built in the 12th century as a shrine for the Hindu god, Vishnu.

Guests then board the Mekong Princess in the nearby river town of Campong Cham for a seven-night journey downstream through placid scenery to central Ho Chi Minh City, with excursions, cultural performances, cooking classes, selected onboard beverages and Wi-Fi all included in fares. After the cruise, two nights’ accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City allows guests to join complimentary tours with lunch included to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels from the Vietnam War and the Saigon Opera House as well as temples, markets and palaces. The holiday ends with a memorable farewell dinner cruise on the Saigon River.

Including five nights’ hotel accommodation and the seven-night cruise with complimentary excursions and beverages with dinner, the 12-night package is available from A$8220 per person, twin-share, in a Junior Suite – a saving of A$600 per person. Solo fares are from A$13,230 – a saving of A$935.
