Introducing Oceania Sonata

A Symphony of Residential Luxury and Culinary Artistry at Sea

Debuting in August 2027, Oceania Sonata will be the first ship in Oceania Cruises’ all-new Sonata Class and the ninth vessel in its fleet. Carrying 1,390 guests and attended by 855 crew, she will be the cruise line’s most spacious and amenity-rich ship to date.

Oceania Sonata brings together residential-style design, all-veranda accommodation, destination-rich itineraries and the culinary experiences for which Oceania Cruises is renowned. With 30% of her accommodation dedicated to suites, she represents an important new chapter for the luxury cruise line.

A New Expression of The Finest Cuisine at Sea®

Cuisine remains at the heart of the Oceania Cruises experience. Oceania Sonata will offer 13 culinary experiences at no additional cost, supported by an impressive ratio of one chef for every eight guests.

The ship will introduce two distinctive new dining concepts:

La Table par Maîtres Cuisiniers de France: An intimate, 18-seat fine-dining restaurant created in association with the prestigious Maîtres Cuisiniers de France. Its rotating menus and wine pairings will be developed by Oceania Cruises’ Executive Culinary Directors, Master Chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, together with invited Master Chefs from around the world. Reservations are required and an additional fee applies.

Nikkei Kitchen: A relaxed evening venue celebrating Nikkei cuisine—the distinctive fusion of Peruvian ingredients and Japanese culinary traditions. Expect fresh seafood, bright citrus flavours, soy-based sauces and subtle spice, served from a modern open kitchen.

Oceania favourites will also return, including Jacques, Polo Grill, Toscana, Red Ginger and The Grand Dining Room. More casual choices will range from wellness-inspired breakfasts and lunches at Aquamar Kitchen to international dishes at Terrace Café and coffee, pastries, crêpes and gelato at Baristas, Bakery & Crêperie.

Immersive Mixology & Wine Pairings

The onboard beverage program introduces experiential cocktail carts, smoked spirits at Founders Bar, exclusive The Macallan and Brugal 1888 Rum tastings, and sommelier-led pairing lunches and multi-course Champagne dinners evoking the feel of a boutique Napa Valley estate.

All-Veranda Accommodation

Every suite and stateroom aboard Oceania Sonata will feature a private veranda, allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted views throughout their voyage.

Two new suite categories will make their debut:

  • Horizon Suite: Measuring approximately 56 square metres, including its oversized veranda, the Horizon Suite features separate living and sleeping areas, a walk-through wardrobe and outdoor dining and lounging space.
  • Penthouse Deluxe Suite: At approximately 45 square metres, this new category offers a spacious sitting area, private veranda, luxurious bedding and refined marble detailing.

Dedicated 24-hour Butler service will be extended to all suite guests.

The ship’s four two-bedroom Owner’s Suites will span more than 235 square metres, while eight Vista Suites will offer more than 177 square metres of living space and expansive wraparound teak verandas. Oceania Suites will provide separate living and dining areas with generous private outdoor space.

All staterooms will include an oversized bathroom with a rainforest shower, ample wardrobe and drawer space, a refrigerated minibar and Oceania Cruises’ signature Tranquility Bed.
