11 Night Cruise sailing from Boston to San Juan onboard Star Pride.

Highlights of this cruise:

Boston
Boston is certainly among the top destinations in the USA; its place in American history alone makes it worth a visit. To get a good perspective of the city’s layout and history, take a walking tour along the Freedom Trail. Then, try a memorable trip to the U.S.S. Constitution, see Bunker Hill Monument in nearby Charlestown—which memorializes the efforts of American colonists during the Battle of Bunker Hill on June 17, 1775—and visit the Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum.

Boston is more than history though. The shopping is phenomenal, and visitors should be sure to visit Faneuil Hall Marketplace, which has a history dating back 250 years. A host of Boston museums warrant a visit, including the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library and Museum, the Cahoon Museum of American Art and the Museum of Afro-American History. For an escape to nature, take in Boston Common, one of the oldest public parks in the United States.

Hamilton
Hamilton is the capital city, major port and commercial center of Bermuda. The heart of the city is located in Front St, a harbour front road lined with turn-of-the-century Victorian buildings in bright pastel colours.

One of the attractions in Hamilton is Bermuda Cathedral, built in neo-Gothic style. It can be seen from most of Pembroke Parish. You can also visit the Bermuda Historical Society Museum, the Bermuda National Gallery and Fort Hamilton, which is a substantial hilltop fort with a bird’s-eye view of Hamilton Harbor.

There are cinemas, a variety of shops, bars, hotels and restaurants. The city also boasts plenty of markets, gardens, stalls, beaches, squares and plazas with wide streets, boulevards and walkways.

San Juan
San Juan is a major port and tourist resort of the West Indies and is the oldest city under the U.S flag. The metropolitan area known as San Juan has 3 distinct areas: Old San Juan, the New San Juan, and other outlying communities, the most important: Río Piedras, Hato Rey, Puerta de Tierra, and Santurce. The old part of San Juan was founded in 1521 and is now officially declared a National Historic Zone. Many 16th- and 17th-century buildings have been restored and refurbished in the original Spanish style. This part of the city boasts many shops, restaurants, art galleries and museums.

New San Juan is connected to the old town by a narrow neck of land, and modern architecture has flourished in recent years. In the sophisticated areas of Condado and Isla Verde, are glittering hotels; flashy, Las Vegas-style shows, casinos and discos. The Botanical Gardens are worth visiting. A bay cruise is also available, which offers excellent views of the city. El Yunque, east of the capital, is a 28,000-acre rainforest (with over 240 species of trees) and bird sanctuary. It is the only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest System and is located in the Luquillo Mountains.

All Suite Yacht

With only 212 guests, a Star Pride cruise will make you feel like you’re on board your own private yacht almost as soon as you step aboard.

The sitting area of your spacious, newly refurbished suite gives you an expansive ocean view — making it a welcome retreat.

When you’re ready to make an appearance, the lounges, club, casino and library are waiting to be explored. Take some “you” time in the tranquil WindSpa . . . enjoy a dip in the pool . . . work off that decadent dessert in the Fitness Center . . . and, of course, you are always welcome to visit the Bridge to examine navigation charts with the Captain.

Star Pride is large enough to pamper and entertain you, yet small enough to tuck into delightful tiny harbors and hidden coves that others can’t reach.

RENNOVATION NOV 2020:

Starting 11/17/2020, this all-suite ship will undergo a complete renovation as part of the $250 Million Star Plus Initiative to provide more of what our guests love. New public areas, including a two new dining venues, a new spa, infinity pool, and fitness area. The ship also boasts all new bathrooms in every suite and a new category of Star suites, featuring a new layout. With ocean-views and over 277 square feet of comfort, Star Pride is the perfect ship to watch glaciers and fjords drift by from the serenity of your suite.

Carrying only 312 guests, Star Pride still tucks into small ports like Le Lavandou and Wrangell or narrow waterways like the Corinth and Keil Canal. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard for your next 180 degree from ordinary adventure!
