11 Night Cruise sailing from London to Edinburgh aboard Star Legend.

Highlights of this cruise:

London
The cosmopolitan city of London is the capital of England and is the premier city in Europe in terms of size, population and per-capita wealth. London spreads across a huge area from its core on the River Thames, which meanders through central London, dividing it into northern and southern halves.

The central area and the most important sights, theatres and restaurants are within the London underground train Circle Line on the north bank of the River Thames. The trendy West End of London lies within the western portion of the loop and includes Soho, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Regent Street.

In Great Britain, London is where the country’s news and money are made. It is where the central government resides and is the home of the Royal family. The city of London has an exciting atmosphere and is full of endless opportunities for entertainment both day and night. London’s public transport is frequent and includes buses and the London underground train service. Also popular are the famous black cabs.

The major sights in London are Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Tower of London and the British Airways London Eye. There are also numerous galleries, museums and monuments to see. However, there is still much enjoyment to be gained from the city’s more quiet Georgian squares, parks, narrow alleyways and river walks.

London is a shopper’s paradise boasting famous stores such as Harrods and Selfridges, and the shopping districts, such as Oxford Street. The many markets can also provide a way to see some of the capital’s home talent and are a good place to pick up a real bargain. London offers a wide range of excellent restaurants covering all types of cuisine.

Fishguard
Fishguard is a coastal town in Pembrokeshire, S.W. Wales. It is well known for its beautiful scenery; the coastline is comparable to that of Cornwall. Fishguard is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

Fishguard is made up of three settlements based around the shores of Fishguard Bay. Goodwick is the area in which the busy ferry port is situated together with the railway station and is where the roll on roll off ferry to Rosslare in Ireland departs from. Upper Fishguard is the main town centre while Lower Fishguard, ‘y Cwm’ lies at the mouth of the River Gwaun, hemmed in by the cliffs. Lower Fishguard is the original fishing village, dotted with picturesque fishermen’s cottages.

Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, part of the United Kingdom, located in the Central Belt region of the country. Watched over by the imposing Castle – the symbol of the city – Edinburgh combines medieval relics, Georgian grandeur and a powerful layer of modern life with contemporary avant-garde. You are able to see the whole of Edinburgh from the top of Edinburgh’s Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano which is one of Edinburgh’s top tourist attractions.

The throbbing night-life centre of the Scottish north, Edinburgh – “the Athens of the North” is also a feast for the mind and the senses, playing host to great restaurants, shops and an unequalled program of city festivals throughout the year. Hogmanay – the Scottish New Year – kicks off the festivities, which culminate in the high summer with the Tattoo, the International and the Fringe, amongst many others.

The Old Town area of Edinburgh, with its crowded testaments, stands in complete contrast to the highly organized grid of Edinburgh’s New Town area. The Old and New Towns of Edinburgh were listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1995. There are stunning views from almost every street and many popular tourist attractions throughout Edinburgh.

With only 212 guests, a Star Legend cruise will make you feel like you’re on board your own private yacht almost as soon as you step aboard.

The sitting area of your spacious, newly refurbished suite gives you an expansive ocean view — making it a welcome retreat.

When you’re ready to make an appearance, the lounges, club, casino and library are waiting to be explored. Take some “you” time in the tranquil WindSpa . . . enjoy a dip in the pool . . . work off that decadent dessert in the Fitness Center . . . and, of course, you are always welcome to visit the Bridge to examine navigation charts with the Captain.

Star Legend is large enough to pamper and entertain you, yet small enough to tuck into delightful tiny harbors and hidden coves that others can’t reach.

RENOVATION IN 2020
Starting 02/20/2020, this all-suite ship will undergo a complete renovation as part of the $250 Million Star Plus Initiative to provide more of what our guests love. New public areas, including a two new dining venues, a new spa, infinity pool, and fitness area. The ship also boasts all new bathrooms in every suite and a new category of Star suites, featuring a new layout. With ocean-views and over 277 square feet of comfort, Star Legend is the perfect ship to watch glaciers and fjords drift by from the serenity of your suite.

Carrying only 312 guests (after rennovation), Star Legend still tucks into small ports like Le Lavandou and Wrangell or narrow waterways like the Corinth and Keil Canal. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard for your next 180 degree from ordinary adventure!
