9 Night Cruise sailing from Tarragona to Rome aboard Crystal Symphony.

Explore the Roman ruins and cultural attractions of Tarragona before setting sail, then enjoy an overnight in Palma, and ample time to explore the historic sites, relax on stunning beaches, and immerse yourself in the local culture. After a sea day, arrive in La Spezia, the gateway to the picturesque Cinque Terre, then sail on to Livorno for two days, where you can visit both Pisa and Florence. Highlights of this cruise:

Tarragona
Overlooking the azure Mediterranean Sea, Tarragona offers much to those who like to spend a day relaxing on beautiful beaches and enjoying breathtaking coastal vistas. But it is not all just fun in the sun; Tarragona has a legacy dating back to Roman times, and transports all who visit here back to antiquity. It’s strategic position on the coast has contributed to its historical significance and its role as a bustling port city, and the beautifully well-preserved Roman ruins, including the iconic Amphitheatre and Pont del Diable aqueduct are a must for any history lovers among you, while the medieval old town, which boasts cobbled streets, charming squares, and the stunning Cathedral of Tarragona will provide entertainment for those who like to stroll through the streets and soak up the ambience of a place. The city is found in the Catalonia region of northeastern Spain, along the Mediterranean coast, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) southwest of Barcelona, and embodies the famous Spanish fiesta (and siesta) attitude. Find an inviting Tapas place, order a glass of local wine and enjoy small bites that redeinfe the meaning of travelling with taste. The city`s lively atmosphere comes alive during cultural festivals, celebrating its heritage and vibrant present.

La Spezia
Situated between Genoa and Pisa on the Ligurian Sea, La Spezia is ideally positioned for day trips, most notably to the villages of the Cinque Terre. Clinging to the rugged coast that unfurls west of La Spezia, the villages and hillsides of this section of the Italian Riviera are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and reputed to be some of the most picturesque destinations of Italy, if not in the world. That is not to say that the town of La Spezia isn`t worth spending some time in. It has an impressive nautical history, with the Naval Arsenal being developed here in the 1860s. Today, many nautical-themed diversions can be enjoyed, including a visit to the naval museum, or Museo Tecnico Navale, which exhibits an interesting collection of ships` figureheads. On display at the seafront are boats, parks, and people who gladly take in the Italian sunshine and demonstrate how to live la dolce vita.

Rome
Discover the charming port town of Civitavecchia, the gateway to Rome and the treasures of the Eternal City. Venture through Civitavecchia, noted for its fine seafood and beautiful monuments. Then, travel to Rome, with more than 2,500 years of history and ancient landmarks that will leave you with memories for a lifetime.

It begins the moment you embark. An immersion into luxurious wonder. An extraordinary sense of well-being. The Crystal Symphony is one of the most spacious and luxurious cruise ships at sea. Onboard amenities feature grand lounges, a full-service fitness facility, exciting casino, a lavish spa, expansive decks, a swimming pool with an extra-large Jacuzzi, award-winning cuisine and entertainment. To top it off, exquisitely-appointed staterooms, more than half of which offer private verandahs. Considered to be the finest shipboard staff afloat, it is their goal to anticipate your every need and to make this a vacation to remember.
