Day 6
This morning, embark on one of the world’s most spectacular train rides, a Vistadome rail journey that climbs through breathtaking landscapes to the legendary Machu Picchu. The most famous archaeological site in South America, this mountaintop citadel was built by the Incas in the 15th century but remained lost to history until it was rediscovered in the early 1900s. Explore the enigmatic ruins with expert guides, delving into the mysteries of this ancient site.As night falls, retreat to the charming Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel.

Day 7
Continue your journey by train to the charming city of Cuzco, the imperial capital of the Incas. The oldest continually occupied city on the continent, it sits at a soaring 3,399 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest settlements in the world.You’ll be welcomed to the luxurious Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel. Discover the vibrant allure of Buenos Aires as you immerse yourself in the city’s highlights and experience its unique charm. Latin passion and European romance define this beautiful capital, a dynamic city known for its wide-ranging architectural styles, contemporary and historical arts, and culinary experiences. Enjoy a four-hour tour of the city this morning that takes you to the main historic sites of Buenos Aires, including the Casa Rosada (Pink Palace) and the Recoleta Cemetery, resting place of Argentine luminaries like Eva Peron.

Board your flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, the gateway to Antarctica and the world’s southernmost city, nestled on the rugged shores of Tierra del Fuego. The captain and crew will warmly greet you as you board your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht.

Remote and unspoiled, the Falkland Islands offer a breathtaking sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts. Home to the world’s largest Gentoo penguin population, watch as they waddle along the shores, nesting and interacting in their natural environment.

Spot black-browed albatross soaring above and keep an eye out for Cobb’s wren and the Falkland flightless steamer duck, two rare species only found here. For a deeper appreciation of this remarkable ecosystem, engage with the specialist polar Discovery Team—a dedicated group of geologists, historians, ornithologists, marine biologists, and glaciologists who bring the magic of the Falklands to life through their unparalleled knowledge and passion.

While in the Falkland Islands, you will visit capital Stanley (subject to weather and operational conditions). This town offers a unique British outpost feel. Visit local shops, see the Christ Church Cathedral with its whalebone arch, or share a pint at an English pub.

It could be a good night to share stories with new friends over dinner at Sushi @ Koko’s (available by on board reservations). Enjoy entertainment in the state-of-the-art theatre and unwind with a nightcap at the Scenic Lounge Bar.

Day 15
Today you may wish to book a treatment at the tranquil Senses Spa#. Perhaps an ESPA facial or massage or an alternative therapy including Ayuverdic massage.

Pay tribute to legendary explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton at his final resting place and explore the remnants of the island’s past, where weathered whaling stations and rusting ships stand as enduring symbols of a bygone era.

Be sure to have your camera ready to capture this awe-inspiring destination.

Day 20
After a languid sleep-in and a luxurious in-suite breakfast, start the day with a yoga or Pilates class.

Visit the bridge where the Captain’s open bridge policy welcomes guests at any time to learn more about the technical abilities of The World’s First Discovery Yacht and see it in full operation. The bridge is also one of the best viewing areas on the ship.

Today you will enter Antarctic waters, an unpredictable but stunningly beautiful environment that always surprises. Put on your complimentary polar parka and head to the Observation Deck to spot icebergs for the first time – a feeling that will stay with you forever.

Watch out for whale blows in the distance. Your specialist polar Discovery team is on hand to provide and answer any insightful information.

The Observation Lounge and Terrace occupies a commanding position at the bow of the ship on Deck 5 and is the perfect place for a specialty tea or coffee while watching the world float by.

During the day, the theatre comes alive with captivating lectures from our polar Discovery Team. Don´t forget to check the Daily Program on your TV for timing—you won’t want to miss these inspiring sessions!

Day 22
Slide open the floor-to-ceiling doors of your verandah suite to see icebergs sculpted by nature and glacial mountains rising thousands of metres from the ocean. True magic awaits as you witness the incredible wildlife spectacle: from the graceful seals to majestic whales and delightful colonies of penguins that dot the landscape.

Antarctica is a birdwatcher’s delight, home to a variety of species, so keep your eyes peeled for wandering albatrosses, shearwaters, giant petrels and more.

Your dedicated Discovery Team will guide you as you trek across the awe-inspiring Antarctic wilderness, and meet the adorable chinstrap, Adélie, and gentoo penguins that inhabit this magical region.

Tonight could be the night you enjoy Sushi^ @ Koko’s (available by on board reservation) with your new friends. Stay up late in the bar or retire to the Observation Lounge for a moment of blissful solitude before bed.

Scenic Discovery: Enjoy daily Discovery excursions. Cruise on the Zodiacs around ice formations, step onto islands to view vast penguin rookeries and seals. Kayak or stand-up paddleboard past icebergs and hear the ice cracking and whales feeding below. Soar above the horizon in one of two the two helicopters^ or dive below in the submersible^ for further discovery.

Day 24
Various species of penguins can be found in Antarctic and the sub-Antarctic region, with around 12 million living on the Peninsula, including Adélie, Chinstrap, Gentoo, and the rare Emperor. Guided by the expert Polar Discovery Team, you’ll witness colonies up close.

Whales are another majestic creature you may encounter, whether a minke, a humpback or an Orca. Watch them from the comfort of your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, in a Zodiac with an experienced Discovery Team member, or from their level in a kayak or stand-up paddleboard – a breathtaking experience.

This morning, bid farewell to your expert crew and fellow travellers as your extraordinary journey comes to an end. After a final indulgent breakfast on board, disembark in Ushuaia and board your flight to Buenos Aires, carrying with you memories of an unforgettable adventure in the pristine landscapes of Antarctica.
