Board an included flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, the gateway to Antarctica and the world’s southernmost city, nestled on the rugged shores of Tierra del Fuego. The Captain and crew will warmly greet you as you board your ultra-luxury Scenic Discovery Yacht. Remote and untouched, the Falkland Islands offer a breathtaking sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts. Home to the world’s largest gentoo penguin population, watch as they waddle along the shores, nesting and interacting in their natural environment.Spot black-browed albatrosses soaring above and keep an eye out for Cobb’s wren and the Falkland flightless steamer duck, two rare species found only here. Your specialist polar Discovery Team – geologists, historians, ornithologists, marine biologists, and glaciologists – will share deep insights into this remarkable ecosystem.

Scenic Discovery: Daily experiences during your Expedition Voyage may include cruising on Zodiacs, landing ashore to view vast penguin rookeries, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, soaring above in the helicopter^ and diving below in the submersible^.

Day 5
Weather permitting, visit the capital of the Falkland Islands, Stanley. This charming settlement offers a unique British outpost feel. Day 9
Step back in time at Grytviken, a historic settlement that tells the story of early Antarctic exploration and industry. Pay tribute to legendary explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton at his final resting place and explore the remnants of the island’s past, where weathered whaling stations and rusting ships stand as enduring symbols of a bygone era.

Day 10

Day 11

During the day, the theatre comes alive with captivating lectures from your polar Discovery Team. Day 13
Slide open the floor-to-ceiling doors of your verandah suite to reveal icebergs sculpted by nature and glacial mountains rising thousands of metres from the ocean. Witness the extraordinary wildlife – graceful seals, breaching whales and thriving penguin colonies. Antarctica is a birdwatcher’s delight, home to a variety of species, so keep your eyes peeled for wandering albatrosses, shearwaters, giant petrels and more.Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, Discovery Excursions throughout your Expedition Voyage are dependent on the ice and weather conditions. Your experienced Captain and Discovery Leader, who have made countless journeys to Antarctica, will use their expertise to design your voyage from day to day, making the most of 18-20 hours of daylight.

Day 14
Set out on unforgettable Zodiac excursions to explore breathtaking glaciated bays, tranquil channels, and pristine landing sites. Your dedicated Discovery Team will guide you as you trek across the awe-inspiring Antarctic wilderness, and encounter the adorable chinstrap, Adélie, and gentoo penguins that inhabit this remarkable region.

Scenic Discovery: Enjoy daily Discovery Excursions (weather and ice permitting), such as Zodiac cruises around ice formations, stepping ashore to view vast penguin rookeries and seals. Kayak or stand-up paddleboard past icebergs and hear the ice cracking and whales feeding below. Soar above the horizon in one of two helicopters^ on board, or dive below the surface in the submersible^ for optional further discovery.

Day 15
Various species of penguins can be found in the Antarctic and the sub-Antarctic region, including Adélie, Chinstrap, Gentoo, and the very rare Emperor. Guided by your expert Discovery Team, you’ll witness colonies up close; hear their calls and watch as they clumsily waddle along and interact with each other.Whales are another majestic creature you may encounter, including minke whales, humpback whales or orcas. Watch them up close in a kayak or a Zodiac with your Discovery Team or observe them from the comfort of your ultra-luxury Scenic Discovery Yacht. Whichever way you see them, it’s a breathtaking experience.

With ample time to explore, this voyage ensures you experience the grandeur of these ancient ice formations up close. Back on board, enjoy a warm specialty tea or coffee in the Observation Lounge and take in the views through the Swarovski telescopes.

Day 17

Day 18
As you cruise back across the Drake Passage toward South America, take this time to indulge in the ultra-luxury comforts of Scenic Eclipse, and reflect on the awe-inspiring moments you’ve experienced. Day 20
This morning, bid farewell to your Scenic Eclipse crew and fellow guests as your extraordinary journey comes to an end. After a final indulgent breakfast on board, disembark in Ushuaia and board your flight to Buenos Aires, carrying with you memories that will inspire wonder for years to come.
