4 Night Cruise sailing from Oban roundtrip aboard Hebridean Princess.

Cross the Sea of the Hebrides to experience the delights of the Outer Isles of Vatersay and the Uists on this perfect introduction to the world of Hebridean Princess. Absorb the unique atmosphere of these unspoilt outposts and marvel at the contrast with the gentler landscapes of the Inner Isles of Canna and Eigg.

Relax into life on board as we sail the Sea of the Hebrides where the welcoming arc of the Outer Hebrides awaits. Idyllic Vatersay, the southern-most inhabited island in the Outer Isles, abounds with vast white sandy beaches and turquoise waters.

Starting our panoramic tour at Lochmaddy in the north, take in the highlights of the Uists. North Uist is a paradise for wildlife and beach lovers characterised by its patchwork of peat bogs and lochans. South Uist’s softer, undulating landscape is carpeted in machair and fringed by dunes. Step back in time at the prehistoric stone circle of Pobull Fhinn and the Neolithic Cairn of Barpa Langass.

Canna was bequeathed to the National Trust for Scotland in 1981 by the Gaelic scholars John Lorne Campbell and Margaret Fay Shaw; visit their former home which contains a cultural archive of folk songs and tales, studies, literature, art and photography. Stroll through the escallonia tunnel to the walled garden and wander at will through delightful flower borders, orchards and pathways.

Reflect on our adventures as we enjoy refreshing walks on Eigg and sail around the most westerly point of the British mainland, Ardnamurchan, bound for Oban where our voyage comes to its conclusion and we must say farewell to old friends and new.

Hebridean Princess is Hebridean’s original vessel. Specially commissioned in 1965 for the waters of the rugged west coast of Scotland, she commenced sailing under the Hebridean Island Cruises’ flag after a full refit in 1989, establishing a unique and unusual style of cruising.

Beautifully decorated in the finest quality furnishings, her relaxed, floating country house party atmosphere and impeccable service from a warm, welcoming and friendly crew have earned her an unrivalled reputation. From the starboard Conservatory to the cosy Look Out Lounge; from the luxurious Tiree Lounge to the peaceful Library or the quiet of the teak Skye Deck – the comfort of Hebridean Princess is home but better!

Just 49 guests are cared for by around 38 crew as she sails perhaps the most beautiful coastline of northern Europe, Scotland’s Western Isles.
