Setting sail from Rio de Janeiro, we call at the Brazilian beach town Búzios, historic Salvador da Bahia, sun-soaked Maceió, and vibrant Recife. In Santarém, witness the meeting of the Tapajós and Amazon rivers, before exploring the Amazonian towns of Boca da Valeria, Manaus, Parintins, and Alter do Chão. Discover Devil’s Island, a fascinating former penal colony in the Iles du Salut, then Caribbean gems including Roseau, Basseterre, San Juan, Samaná, and Grand Turk. Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. beckons, then discover the historic Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda. We sail along the East Coast of the U.S., now, basking in the bright lights of New York City, gazing at the Gilded Age mansions of Newport, and walking the Freedom Trail of Boston. Then we visit Halifax and Sydney in Canada; the French overseas islands of Saint Pierre et Miquelon; and charming St. John’s in Newfoundland. Relax at sea as we cross the Atlantic to colorful Cobh, Ireland. Our penultimate destination is historic Plymouth in England, before our journey concludes in Portsmouth.
