7 Night Cruise sailing from Reykjavik roundtrip aboard Star Legend.

Dramatic scenery and curious communities coalesce on this week-long circumnavigation of Iceland. Explore a country few people will ever visit, and go far beyond the tourist hotspots to remote fjords, raging waterfalls, and small fishing villages. Get to know the independent and creative Icelanders, and watch whales and seabirds play offshore. This Iceland cruise is yachting at its most inventive.

Highlights of this cruise:

Reykjavik
The world’s most northerly capital enjoys almost 24-hour sunlight in summer, all the better to show off the city’s eclectic architecture and dazzling natural wonders. Soak in the milky Blue Lagoon, visit Guilfoss Waterfall, or explore the surprisingly vibrant local museum and art scene.

Heimaey
Today we witness a world still in transition. Circle Surtsey Island, which rose from the sea in the 1960s. Next up, Heimaey, where a volcanic eruption created a modern-day Pompeii in 1973.

Seydisfjordur
As bird watchers head to the remote beauty of Skalanes Nature Reserve, trekkers can make their way to spectacular Hengifoss Waterfall. Or simply stroll the quaint town of 700 with its colorful Norwegian kit-houses shipped in at the turn of the century.

Akureyri
Akureyri nestles like a gem at the head of Iceland’s greatest fjord. Just a stone’s throw from the Arctic Circle, it offers some of Iceland’s warmest weather. The perfect place to ride an Icelandic horse or soak in the sky-blue Myvatn Nature Baths.

Isafjordur
A breathtaking journey up Isafjordurup Bay precedes our arrival in Isafjordur, surprisingly urbane for a village of 2,600. Old Town’s 19th century buildings take you back to the days of the tall ships, while the abandoned town of Hesteyri remains frozen in the 1940s.

With only 212 guests, a Star Legend cruise will make you feel like you’re on board your own private yacht almost as soon as you step aboard.

The sitting area of your spacious, newly refurbished suite gives you an expansive ocean view — making it a welcome retreat.

When you’re ready to make an appearance, the lounges, club, casino and library are waiting to be explored. Take some “you” time in the tranquil WindSpa . . . enjoy a dip in the pool . . . work off that decadent dessert in the Fitness Center . . . and, of course, you are always welcome to visit the Bridge to examine navigation charts with the Captain.

Star Legend is large enough to pamper and entertain you, yet small enough to tuck into delightful tiny harbors and hidden coves that others can’t reach.

RENOVATION IN 2020
Starting 02/20/2020, this all-suite ship will undergo a complete renovation as part of the $250 Million Star Plus Initiative to provide more of what our guests love. New public areas, including a two new dining venues, a new spa, infinity pool, and fitness area. The ship also boasts all new bathrooms in every suite and a new category of Star suites, featuring a new layout. With ocean-views and over 277 square feet of comfort, Star Legend is the perfect ship to watch glaciers and fjords drift by from the serenity of your suite.

Carrying only 312 guests (after rennovation), Star Legend still tucks into small ports like Le Lavandou and Wrangell or narrow waterways like the Corinth and Keil Canal. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard for your next 180 degree from ordinary adventure!
