12 Night Cruise sailing from Montreal to Boston aboard Victory II.
Day 1: Montréal, Québec
Day 2: Quebec City
Day 3: Whale Watching / Tadoussac
Tadoussac, where the St. Lawrence River meets the outflow of the Saguenay River, is one of the most exciting whale-watching sites in the world. Between May and October, up to 13 species of cetaceans make their way upriver from the Atlantic Ocean, to become temporary residents in the salty rich waters of the St. Lawrence. These sea mammals include blue whales, the largest animals on the planet, and the impressive humpbacks, which swim up into the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord near Tadoussac to feed.
Day 4: At Sea
A relaxing day to absorb all we have learned as we continue our discussions onboard with new friends.
Day 5: Cap Au Meuels – Ille de Madeline
Day 6: Charlottetown, P.E.I.
Located on Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest and most charming province, Charlottetown showcases a wealth of natural beauty and history. In the morning, coaches leave the port and follow the historic trail walked by delegates to the conference that led to the Confederation of Canada. We will make our way along the famous North Shore to Cavendish Bay, in Prince Edward Island National Park, to the farmstead that inspired L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables. Enjoy a tour of the house, stroll the haunted woods, Lovers’ Lane, and the famous white shores of the bay. Visit the charming city center before returning to the ship for an exceptional dinner overlooking the sea.
Day 7: Canso Canal
Day 8: Halifax, NS
Day 9: Lunenburg, NS
The Old Town of Lunenberg is one of only two urban communities in North America designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This morning, we’ll tour Lunenburg’s harbor-side streets, lined with unique shops and colorfully painted homes. We’ll visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, which exhibits wharf-side vessels, an aquarium, and the famous Bluenose II, a replica of the original world famous racing schooner. After lunch, we’ll embark on a scenic drive through Mahone Bay, famous for its pictureque natural beauty, handsome churches dotting the shore, and Nova Scotia’s largest fishing fleet.
Day 10: At Sea
Fine dining, our Open Bar and the congenial camaraderie of your fellow travelers enhance your day at sea.
Day 11: Portland, ME
Portland’s waterfront combines active fishing wharves with warehouses, shops, and museums. Departing from the port, we’ll take a picturesque drive through the elegant Victorian Mansion district, past the boyhood home of American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and out to Casco Bay and the famous Portland Head Light. After lunch onboard, we’ll take a short ride to Kennebunkport, a shipbuilding mecca since the early 1600s. This New England community has long been the summer residence of President G. W. Bush. After soaking up the maritime atmosphere of this quaint community, we’ll make our way back through the architecturally significant homes of nearby Kennebunk, visiting the Franciscan Monastery and pausing by the quirky “wedding cake house.”
Day 12: Gloucester / Boston
Welcome to Boston, Massachusetts. This capital city was founded in 1630 and is one of the oldest cities in the United States. It played a key role in the American Revolution and the freedom of our country today.
Day 13:Boston, MA
