23 Night Cruise sailing from Brisbane to Singapore aboard Crystal Serenity.

Find rare discovery in Papua New Guinea – from volcanic mountains to the Sepik River – on a voyage with three maiden calls, multiple overnights and wonders from the Great Barrier Reef and Komodo Island to Borobudur, Bali and the gardens of Singapore.

Highlights of this cruise:

Brisbane
Nestled between the Gold Coast to the south and the Sunshine Coast to the north, laid-back Brisbane makes the most of its magnificent beaches, offering an ideal blend of Aussie ease and urban energy. Wander the lush Botanic Gardens, shop the Queen Street Mall, or enjoy the countless cafés along the banks of the Brisbane River.

Mooloolaba
Situated on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is the resort town of Mooloolaba. Gifted with a white-sand beach and crystalline waters, this once quiet little fishing village is now one of Australia’s most popular destinations. Its beachfront path is lined with outdoor cafés, juice bars, and chic boutiques. The Sea Life Sunshine Coast Aquarium is a marine mammal park, oceanarium and wildlife sanctuary showcasing the creatures that make their home in Australia.

Gladstone
Steeped in Down Under sun, Gladstone boasts Australia’s largest natural harbor and is a handy jumping-off point to watery adventure along mangrove-fringed waterways, on idyllic islands, and below the surface within the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Those in search of terrestrial activities can find walking trails, coastal cycleways, orchid-laced gardens, and Queensland heritage buildings to discover. Auckland Hill and Round Hill both sport 360-degree views of it all, and of distant Mount Larcom.

Honiara
Peaceful little Honiara is the capital of the Solomon Islands, known as “the islands adrift in time.” This paradise of tropical rain forests and rugged hillsides, still under British rule, saw some of the fiercest fighting of WWII. Visit the moving war museum, or tour the handicraft center, with its impressive collection of wood-carvings and woven baskets.

Rabaul
Rabaul is an ideal destination for those interested in delving into wartime history and big-time nature. For the latter, Rabaul offers truly spectacular diving and snorkeling in waters that are warm and clear. Rabaul has another nature-related claim to fame: the eruption of Mt. Tavurvur in 1994, which left most of the town destroyed by ash. What remains is a reminder of the power and unpredictability of the earth’s forces and the resilience of the island’s intrepid locals and visitors who avail themselves of great diving and hiking. As for wartime history, the island was captured by the Japanese during WWII and became a major base for the Japanese campaign in the South Pacific. Sites related to the conflict include the Japanese Tunnels, Admiral Yamamoto’s Bunker and the Kokopo War & Cultural Museum.

Madang
Surrounded by Bismarck Sea beauty in a region known as the Amazon of the Ocean, verdant Madang endured a severe pounding during WWII but came back more lovely than ever. Fresh markets beckon in the town center, raucous throngs of flying foxes flit in the trees, and a memorial lighthouse honors the Aussie and Papuan volunteers who risked all here to monitor Japanese ship and plane movements during the conflict. Dramatic volcanic mountains and a rich endemic culture add to the attraction.

Wewak
Once the domain of swarming ranks of Japanese warplanes, Wewak is all tranquility today. Lush waterfalls, green mountains and paradise-like beaches set the scene, and the Sepik River opens onto the sea nearby. This legendary watercourse, New Guinea’s longest, winds through some of the Pacific’s most pristine terrain and is home to myriad and colorful indigenous tribes, including the heavily scarred Crocodile Men. The region’s folk art is much-revered for its character and diversity.

Komodo National Park
Ringed by steep hillsides that fluctuate from jade green to rust red as the seasons shift, Komodo Island is a land of curious colors… and dragons. The largest island within the Komodo National Park, Komodo sports sandy beaches painted pink by the red coral that thrives on the reefs and locals who relish welcoming visitors. Besides the world’s largest lizards, other wild residents include wild boars, deer, water buffalo, cockatoos and macaques.

Semarang/Borobudur
Located on the north coast of the island of Java, Indonesia, Semarang is the capital of its province, playing a prominent role as both busy commercial center and important cultural destination. The lowlands are characterized by offices, business centers and industrial estates, while up in the hills are houses with lovely gardens and superb views. The city’s current vibrancy could perhaps have been predicted, as Semarang has been a bustling trading center since the Dutch colonial era, when the Dutch East Indies Company established tobacco plantations and built infrastructure such as roads and railroads. The Dutch influence can still be seen in the older part of the city near the harbor. Other cultures, primarily that of the Chinese, also have left their imprint on Semarang and continue to be a significant part of what it is to live in and visit Java.

Singapore
Singapore’s history is one of riches and romance, spice trading and piracy, colonialism, and ultimately, growth into one of Asia’s greatest success stories. Temples, mosques and churches stand as serene reminders of the varied migrations that have graced its history. Discover the mansions and polo greens of colonial Singapore, the mystique of Chinatown, and the heady aroma of spices along Arab Street.

The exquisite ambience of the Crystal Serenity leads to an extraordinary experience. Unwind in luxurious and spacious accommodations — 85% of the staterooms feature private verandahs. Spectacular international fare can be found in elegant restaurants throughout the ship, including celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Umi Uma. The delightful cuisine is complemented by an extensive wine cellar that features over 150 vintages. And the activities onboard will delight you. Rejuvenate your soul in the Feng Shui-designed Crystal Spa or swing Callaway clubs at the driving range. Uniting West End and Broadway, Hollywood and Vegas. In virtually every industry poll, Crystal’s rich variety of entertainment offerings ranks number one.
