7 Night Cruise sailing from Stockholm to Copenhagen aboard Seabourn Ovation.

Seabourn Ovation, a sister-ship to the already prestigious Seabourn Encore. Seabourn Ovation represents another welcome stage in the evolution of small-ship cruising, which Seabourn pioneered and has consistently expanded and enriched. Both ships will deliver a wealth of new concepts, a fresh vision and a host of illuminating ideas to delight the world’s most discerning travelers.

Highlights of this cruise:

Stockholm, Sweden
Sweden’s capital has been called the most beautiful city in the world. This “city that floats on water” sprawls over 14 islands that are linked by over 50 bridges, which cross winding waterways in all directions. To the east is an archipelago of thousands of islands in different shapes, sizes and contours. Venice, for all its gondolas, does not approach the water traffic of Stockholm. The hundreds of small boats that line the inlets and canals testify to the passion of every family to own and sail a boat.

Tallin, Estonia
Tallin, Estonia’s capital city, is located at the north-eastern extremity of Europe on the shores of the Baltic Sea. It has been hailed as the ‘New Prague’, though it is more compact and easier to get around.Tallinn’s old town is very pretty, all cobblestones, castles and church spires with an eye-catching smorgasbord of medieval and baroque architecture.

On the fringes of the old town, a new district is emerging with gleaming new hotels and offices as Estonia celebrates the EU membership it attained in 2004. Half the fun in Tallinn is just walking around the old town streets viewing the layers of history with Russian orthodox churches, Dominican monasteries, old merchant houses and medieval meeting halls. In Tallinn art and culture are taken very seriously and there is a fun filled local nightlife scene.

St Petersburg, Russia
Situated in the west, on the Baltic Sea, St Petersburg is a city of magnificent palaces and elaborate churches in grandiose Baroque and neo-classical designs. Highlights include Trezzini’s gold-spired landmark of St Peter and St Paul, the bright color, domes and gold of the Church on Spilled Blood and the carved and gilded extravaganza of St Isaac’s Cathedral. On Nevsky prospekt, St Petersburg’s main thoroughfare, the styles of three centuries, from classical to Baroque to Style Moderne, have created one of the most beautiful streets in the world.

Adding to the beauty of the buildings are the canals and rivers, which cross Nevsky prospect and have been compared to Venice. The winding waterways lead to the broad River Neva, at the heart of St Petersburg. Although the capital moved to Moscow after the revolution, St Petersburg is certainly Russia’s first city in terms of beauty. It is also the center for classical culture – from opera to ballet to music – with historic venues, such as the Mariinsky Theater.

Helsinki, Finland
Helsinki, capital of Finland and “Daughter of the Baltic,” was founded in 1550 and became the capital in 1812. The city is beautifully set on a peninsula surrounded by islands and is protected by fortifications at Suomenlinna. A modern, lively city of approximately a half million inhabitants, Helsinki’s attractions include the harbor, market square and many spacious parks. The Empire Center is one of Europe’s finest examples of neoclassical architecture.

Copenhagen, Denmark
Modern Copenhagen is an attractive, well-kept city and the largest city in Scandinavia. It has a provincial, small-town atmosphere, gabled houses, narrow streets and a skyline that is dominated by delicate spires. Copenhagen is also the greenest capital in Europe with much of the city center reserved for pedestrians, strict anti-pollution laws, and bikes often outnumbering cars on the streets. There are many green spaces (including the world-famous Tivoli) and in the summer, cafés and restaurants occupy the pavements.

At Seabourn, we are passionate about travel. We believe that traveling for pleasure has a redemptive power that enriches people’s lives. And we believe that people should travel well.

Cruising on a Seabourn ship is unlike any other form of travel. The experience is luxurious, yet relaxed — elegant, yet casual — sumptuous, yet understated. Our intimate ships visit the most desirable destinations worldwide, sailing to the heart of landmark cities, as well as to hidden gems where larger vessels cannot follow.

Our ships attract interesting people, who seek to share experiences beyond the expected in places beyond the ordinary. Our acclaimed staff offers a unique style of heartfelt hospitality that is sincere, thoughtful and personal.

This is the Seabourn experience — a style of cruising we pioneered when the company introduced Seabourn Pride, our first 208-guest, all-suite ship in 1988. At the time, a cruise expert stated that “Seabourn is in a class by itself,” and that is still true today. Experience SEABOURN SIGNATURE DELIGHTS® – Our fleet of five graceful ships carry between 208 and 604 guests each, exclusively in ocean-view suites – many with verandas. Amenities include luxury spas, restaurant and bar service as well as a variety of entertainment. They are graciously served by nearly the same number of hand-picked crew, who are consistently ranked as the finest at sea, earning Seabourn honors as the World’s Best Small Ship Cruise Line in surveys of readers by Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure.

In 2009, Seabourn again raised the bar with the debut of Seabourn Odyssey, hailed as “a game-changer for the ultra-luxury segment.” Although larger than the original Seabourn sisters, Seabourn Odyssey carries just 450 guests and offers a wealth of amenities made possible by the highest ratio of space per guest in the cruise industry, including the largest spa on any luxury ship and generous private verandas on 90 percent of her suites. Seabourn Odyssey has since been joined by two identical sisters, Seabourn Sojourn in 2010 and Seabourn Quest in 2011.

Our expanded fleet allows us to offer the award-winning Seabourn experience to more travelers, in more cruising regions than ever before. No matter where in our wide world you want to travel, we offer you the opportunity to see it all in perfect elegance and ease — to travel well — aboard the best small ships in the world.
