Explore the community owned island of Ulva and learn of its history and heritage before landing on the sacred isle of Iona. The restored Benedictine abbey remains a much-revered place of pilgrimage. Sample the world-renowned malt whisky crafted at Ardbeg on a fascinating tour of a distillery which was officially established by the MacDougall family in 1815.
Stroll ashore on ‘God’s’ island of Gigha and the deer isle of Jura where the 200 people are outnumbered by a huge population of deer. First opened in 1801 as a short cut to avoid the long journey around the Mull of Kintyre, the Crinan Canal is the perfect location for gentle towpath strolls.
Experience life on a working Highland estate at Kingairloch and uncover 800 years of history at Duart Castle, standing guard on the sea cliffs of Mull. Our final day is spent sampling the wares at Scotland’s greenest distillery, Ardnamurchan, and the award-winning Isle of Mull Cheese.
