5 Night Cruise sailing from Greenock roundtrip aboard Hebridean Princess.

Walking interest cruise.

A taster of our regular ‘Footloose’ cruise adventures, this short cruise is a tantalising blend of walks and visits that will appeal to all. Join our experienced walking guides to explore the unspoilt beauty of the Clyde estuary and its awe-inspiring lochs or discover some hidden gems, charming villages and exotic gardens at a gentler pace.

Ashore on Great Cumbrae, visit the tiny but remarkable Cathedral of the Isles or embark on the captivating Inner Circle Walk which offers excellent views over Largs, Fairlie, and the North Ayrshire hills. Stride out on the 10,000 acre Ardgowan Estate or take a guided tour of the romantic 76 room Palladian mansion, including the family’s private state rooms.

Steaming Britain’s longest sea loch, Loch Fyne, we arrive in Crarae where our intrepid walkers enjoy the circular Leacainn walk which features forests, waterfalls, rivers, pastures and loch views. If a more leisurely pace tempts you, why not opt for the tranquillity of the woodland garden at Crarae and step back into the mid 1800’s at Inveraray Jail and meet the costumed characters who bring the past to life.

Through stirring landscapes, a full day walk in the dramatic scenery of Glen Fyne awaits our walkers whilst the strollers can appreciate the architectural gem of Ardkinglas House, and the late 18th century mansion of Strachur House.

From peaceful Holy Loch stroll the paths of exotic Benmore Botanic Garden, or you may choose to follow the magical trail to Puck’s Glen, a deep, woodland gorge with cascading waterfalls. The dramatic rocky gorge is said to be home to mischievous spirits, keep a sharp eye out and you might just spot the mystical Ghillie Dhu!

Hebridean Princess is Hebridean’s original vessel. Specially commissioned in 1965 for the waters of the rugged west coast of Scotland, she commenced sailing under the Hebridean Island Cruises’ flag after a full refit in 1989, establishing a unique and unusual style of cruising.

Beautifully decorated in the finest quality furnishings, her relaxed, floating country house party atmosphere and impeccable service from a warm, welcoming and friendly crew have earned her an unrivalled reputation. From the starboard Conservatory to the cosy Look Out Lounge; from the luxurious Tiree Lounge to the peaceful Library or the quiet of the teak Skye Deck – the comfort of Hebridean Princess is home but better!

Just 49 guests are cared for by around 38 crew as she sails perhaps the most beautiful coastline of northern Europe, Scotland’s Western Isles.
