Inclusions Sheltered by the crescent arc of the Western Isles and blessed with a mild climate, the Inner Hebrides abound in natural and historic treasures against stunning seascapes. Cruise during the last days of summer to this secluded Scottish paradise of remote islands, dramatic landscapes, historic castles and glorious gardens.

Commence your voyage in the seafood capital of Oban. The town`s skyline is dominated by the impressive folly of McCaig`s Tower, built in 1897 by local banker John Stuart McCaig to provide work for local stonemasons. Bright and bustling Tobermory plays host to afternoon strolls and shopping, ahead of a scenic cruise of the Small Isles and the narrows of Kyle Rhea. By Loch Duich, cross to Eilean Donan Castle, stronghold of the MacKenzies of Kintail, powerfully poised on an island where three great sea-lochs meet. North to Gairloch, wonder at the accomplishment of the young Osgood MacKenzie, creator of the world-famous subtropical paradise of Inverewe Garden on the rocky wastes of High Lump. Sailing for Skye, relive MacDonald clan history at Armadale Castle, where the 40 acre gardens attractively complement the Gothic mansion ruins, sheltered by 200 year old trees. From Craignure, travel back centuries at ancient Duart Castle, ancestral seat of Clan Maclean, enjoying unsurpassed views from its rocky promontory. Head to Iona, where St Columba settled in 563, and visit the restored abbey, still a place of pilgrimage today. Your final afternoon is spent in the seaside town of Oban, known as the `Gateway to the Isles`.
